Swenson Nabs MIAA Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Freshman setter Katie Swenson was chosen as MIAA Specialist of the Week for her performance versus Missouri Western. The Omaha native recorded her 15th double-double with 49 assists and 11 digs in the 3-0 sweep of the Griffons.
Swenson also chipped in a couple kills and recorded one block assist in helping the spikers hit .271 at the net.
It's the first time this season that a Northwest volleyball player was selected as player of the week.
