Three Bearcats Earn All-MIAA Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three Northwest Missouri State volleyball players earned All-MIAA honors, selected by the league's coaches. Alicia Johnon earned second-team All-MIAA, while Katie Swenson and Sara Falcone received honorable mention.

Johnson, a sophomore transfer, led the MIAA in aces per game with 0.60 and was fifth in points per game, averaging 4.74. Johnson finished the season with 20 double-doubles and recorded a season-high 25 kills versus No. 17 Augustana (S.D.). She led the Bearcats in kills (483), kills per game (3.86) and aces (75).

Swenson finished with 1,558 assists, the third highest single season total in Northwest history, averaging 12.46 assist per game, the second best single season average. Swenson was the only Bearcat that received MIAA Player of the Week (11/5).

Falcone hit a team-high .285 at the net and was third on the team with 3.13 kills per game. Falcone's best match came against St. Mary's (Texas) where she tallied 22 kills, hit .378 at the net, served two aces and recorded one block assist.
