Northwest Gets Ready for No. 7 Washburn
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State Volleyball team will host three consecutive nationally ranked opponents starting with No. 7 Washburn tonight at 7 p.m. Washburn comes to Maryville with a 15-1 overall record, its only loss coming to Nebraska-Kearney. Fans, come test your dancing skills as a dance contest will take place with the winner taking home gift certificates to Movie Magic.
A team attack percentage of .257 aids the Lady Blues to most of their victories, as Tessa Jones, this weeks MIAA Hitter of the Week, leads Washburn with 4.15 kills per game.
Northwest upset Washburn last season at home when the Lady Blues were ranked 15th nationally, but the Lady Blues got revenge ending the Bearcats season in the MIAA tournament.
