Bearcats Get Swept by Bulldogs

MARYVILLE, MO - The Northwest Missouri State volleyball team was swept by Truman State by scores of 30-23, 30-24 and 30-27. The Bulldogs hit nearly 200 points better at the net than the Bearcats and committed just 10 attack errors.

Northwest led early in both games one and two, but runs by the Bulldogs overtook both small leads. In game three, Northwest fell behind 5-0 before making a late game rally trailing just one point, 27-28. Northwest's comeback was spoiled when Truman grabbed the last two points to win game three.

Northwest was led by Sara Falcone, who hit a team-high .375 with 15 kills. Katie Swenson chipped in 40 assists and Rachel Nisi helped out the defense with 15 digs. Amy Bohnker had three block assists in the loss.
