Bearcat Volleyball Improves Attendance By 63 Percent
MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Northwest Missouri State volleyball attendance began to improve during the 2005 season, making a 63 percent increase from the 2004 season. The Bearcats volleyball team improved their attendance by averaging 318 per match.
Twice during the 2005 season, Northwest welcomed more than 500 fans to Bearcat Arena. Northwest welcomed 540 people to the gym when Emporia State came to town on Sept. 14 and 510 when school rival Missouri Western came on Sept. 21.
It had been five years since Northwest topped 500 fans. On Sept. 6, 2000, the Bearcats had 750 fans show up and watch Northwest sweep Emporia State.
