Volleyball Falls in Five to Missouri Western
Kirksville, Mo.-The Northwest Missouri State volleyball team continued its stuggles this afternoon, as they fell to No. 1 Truman State, 0-3 (28-30, 23-30, 19-30).
The Bearcats played Truman tight in the statistics and in the score, as both teams were forced into over 20 attack errors, 24 for the Northwest and 22 for Truman. Service errors were at six for the Bearcats and five for Truman.
Northwest however, was down in their kills as they could only account for 31, comparied to Truman's 50. The Bearcats were led by junior Sarah Trowbridge (Boone, Iowa) with eight kills and 13 digs. She also led the team high in attack percent as well coming in with .231.
The setting was done by junior Molly Hankins (Moline, Ill.), who had a team high 15 assists and she also had a service ace.
The Bearcats are now 6-10 overall and 0-5 in the MIAA, as for Truman State they improved to 16-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference. Up next for Northwest they will play Monday night against Upper Iowa at Boone High School at 7:30 p.m. in Boone, Iowa.
