Bearcats Defeated by No. 3 Truman

MARYVILLE, Mo. -Northwest Missouri State was defeated by No. 3 Truman State tonight in three games. Game scores were 21-30, 24-30, 20-30.

The Bearcats out-blocked Truman 9-6 but that was not enough to overcome nine service errors. The 'Cats hit .155 to the Bulldogs' .255 attack percentage. Nine Bearcats had at least one kill in the match and 12 had at least one dig.

Northwest's record goes to 13-16 overall and 4-9 in the MIAA. Truman remains undefeated with 13 conference wins and 27 overall.

Allison Hyland had a productive night for the 'Cats with nine kills, five digs and three block assists.

Jessica Sears had 15 kills and only one attack error for .400 hitting percentage for the Bulldogs. Teammate Sarah Shearman had 14 kills and hit .481. Both had double-doubles with 15 and 12 digs respectively.

The Bearcats travel to Pittsburg State Wed., Oct. 27 for a 7:00 p.m. match-up.
