PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Northwest Missouri State volleyball team dropped its 16th consecutive match of the season with a loss to No. 14 Pittsburg State, 3-0, Wednesday night in Pittsburg. Game scores were 13-30, 17-30 and 28-30. The loss drops the Bearcats' record to 2-16 overall, 0-6 in the MIAA.

Leading the way for the Bearcats were senior Leah Day (Independence, Mo.) and junior Steph Suntken (Indianola, Iowa) with seven kills each. Freshman Mackenzie Heston (Ankeny, Iowa) chipped in with five kills and junior Melea Zacharias (Parkersburg, Iowa) added nine digs.
The 'Cats will be back in action Friday night, hosting Southwest Baptist University at 7 p.m. in Bearcat Arena.
