Nibert earns provisional at KT Woodman Classic
WICHITA, Kan. – Ashton Nibert highlighted the afternoon for the Northwest Missouri State track and field teams Saturday earning a NCAA provisional time in the 400-meters at the KT Woodman Classic.
Nibert’s time of 54.56 gave her the third best time in the 400-meters and earned a provisional time. Her time is currently the sixth best time in NCAA-II and ranks as the second best time in the 400-meters at Northwest – Venus Harris holds the Northwest record of 53.70 set in 1987.
The junior also raced to a top 10 finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.84 placing her eighth.
Also for the Bearcat women, Ashli Mosby raced to a 18th place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.96 and missing the provisional time of 14.40.
The Northwest men saw senior Tyler Shaw race to a ninth place finish in the 110-meter hurdles missing the finals by 13 tenths. Teammate Travis Manning finished shortly behind Shaw with a time of 14.74.
Eli Smith raced to a top five finish in the 400-meters with a time of 48.75 – missing a provisional time of 48.00. Smith also raced to a 27th place finish in the 200-meters.
