Bearcats claim 4 titles at Concordia Classic
SEWARD, Neb. – The Northwest Missouri State men’s and women’s track teams competed in Nebraska for the third straight weekend and took home four titles at the Concordia Classic over the weekend.
The Bearcat women took home three of the four titles highlighted by Lakiesha McKnight who had been so close the previous two weeks, but picked up her first title of the indoor season. McKnight recorded a throw of 14.07m in the shot put to hold off Brittany Weinandt of Nebraska-Kearney and improve her NCAA provisional mark.
Brianna Evans also picked up her first title winning the 60m dash with a time of 7.86.
Taylor Woodruff claimed the title in the mile with a time of 5:21.78.
Junior Will Haer continued to impress in the pole vault claiming his second title of the indoor season. Haer also improved his already NCAA provisional mark with a vault of 4.91m.
