Shaw places third at nationals

TURLOCK, Calif. - Northwest Missouri State junior Tyler Shaw finished third in the finals of the 110-meter hurdles Saturday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships hosted by California State University, Stanislaus and Al Brenda Track. It's the highest finish for Shaw, now a three-time All-American who placed fourth in 2009 and sixth in 2010.

Shaw crossed in 14.06s, four one-hundredths behind Emporia State's Andrew Etheridge who edged out California's Brice Myers for the national title. Etheridge's winning time was 14.02s while Myers crossed at 14.03s.
