Shaw fourth in 60-meter hurdles
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Northwest Missouri State junior Tyler Shaw placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles Saturday at the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the Albuquerque Convention Center.
It's the third year in a row Shaw has earned All-America honors in the event. He placed second as a freshman in 2009 and was sixth last season as a sophomore.
Shaw ran a program-record 7.97s and became the first Bearcat to finish the race in less than eight seconds. Grand Canyon's Tyler Sipes claimed the national championship with a time of 7.75s. Andrew Etheridge (Emporia State) was second (7.94s) and Karl McFarlane (Chadron State) was third (7.96s).
