Qualified for the 2009 state meet in the 1600-meter run after he placed first in the event at Sectionals... At the KC Mid Six Conference meet he place first in the 3200-meter run and second in the 1600-meter run in 2009... also ran cross country and was named to the All-Metro second team after he finished sixth at the state meet in 2008
