Biermann Earns Academic Honor

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State senior Lindsay Biermann has been named to CoSIDA's Academic All-District Cross Country and Track and Field Team announced Thursday. Biermann was a second-team selection.
A native of Weston, Mo., Biermann has maintained a 3.87 grade point average while majoring in pre-professional zoology. On the field, Biermann broke Northwest's javelin record with a throw of 140-feet-5-inches. She placed fourth in the event at the 2010 MIAA Outdoor Championships and was an NCAA participant last weekend.
Biermann is a two-time All-MIAA triple jumper with a personal-best leap of 37-feet-10.25-inches. She has the second-best pentathlon score in program history (3,221 points) and fifth-best heptathlon total (4,453 points).
