Four Compete at ESU Multi's

Heptathlon Results | Decathlon Results
EMPORIA, Kan.-Four Northwest Missouri State student-athletes - two men and two women - competed in multi-event competitions hosted by Emporia State Thursday and Friday, including three freshman who turned in personal-best performances.
Freshman Adrienne Cornelius scored a personal best 3,597 points and took fifth place in the heptathlon. Freshman Seth Staashelm and Zeke Winans, both products of Maryville High School, set personal bests in the decathlon. Junior Jennifer Kiss also competed in the heptathlon, was in sixth place after day one, and finished ninth overall.
Cornelius improved her marks in four of the seven events including the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, javelin and 800-meter run. Staashelm improved marks in five of 10 events to finish with a personal-best 5,715 points. Winans improved marks in seven events to finish with a season-best 4,910 points. Staashelm and Winans finished sixth and 13th, respectively.
