Woodruff, Dodd Commit to Northwest
MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State cross country and track and field coach Scott Lorek has announced that Jordan Dodd of Blue Springs, Mo., (Blue Springs HS) and Taylor Woodruff of St. Joseph, Mo., (Benton HS) have signed national letters of intent to compete at Northwest during the 2010-11 academic year.
Dodd is a two-time state qualifier in track and field. He competed in the 300-meter hurdles as a freshman and in the 400-meter dash as a junior. His best times in those events are 39.6s and 49.69s, respectively.
Woodruff is a state qualifier in both cross country and track and field. She has a personal-best five kilometer time of 19:54. She's run the 1,600-meter run in 5:16 and the 3,200-meter run in 11:48. Woodruff is a member of the national honor society and is expected to graduate in the top 10 percent of her class in terms of grade point average.
