The First Day in San Angelo

Bridget, Kate, Emily, Audrey, and Anna reporting live from San Angelo, Texas on May 20, 2009. It is a gorgeous 71 degrees; there will be a high of 83 and we love it. So far today we have chilled in our wonderful Rodeway Inn hotel rooms. There is a quaint, clear blue pool outside that we can not swim in because we need to conserve our energy (and the pool area says no cut offs and that's all we have).

As we sit here typing to you, we are contemplating where we should go eat. It's quite possible that we will walk up to Quiznos, which we already have in the Union. So far the most exciting thing we have experienced was present time! The NCAA gave all of us high-tech backpacks. It has a handle and wheels (oooooooo) and straps for backpack carrying (aahhhhh) but the coolest part of this new luggage piece is its compass. That's right compass. If we are ever to get lost in lil 'ol Maryville, we are good to go with our compasses. We also were gifted with beanies, which is super exciting because we are in sun beaming Texas. We wait in suspense for tonight's festivities which includes none other than the banquet with all the other athletes.

Thank you for tuning into our totally rad report. Before we leave you today we would like to give a shout out to our coaches. Thank you for getting us here safely and making the trip full of excitement! Also, we'd like to give a shout out to our devoted fans who are reading this.

That is our blog for now.... over and out!
