O'Brien Breaks Record; Provisionally Qualifies at North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Anna O'Brien became the 10th different Bearcat to reach an NCAA provisional or automatic mark this season with a program record four minutes, 36.76 seconds in the 1,500-meter run today at the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College. O'Brien defeated her own record of 4:37.77, set last year at the same meet.
Martin Curley started the outdoor season with a career-best 23 feet in the long jump at the Tulsa Duels March 19, and today finished the regular season with a new career best of 23-0 3/4 in a third-place finish. Curley went past 45 feet in the triple jump for the fifth time this season with 46-3 1/4 to finish fourth.
Bridget Kleine finished third in the 400-meter dash with 56.73 and came within one-hundredth of a second from tying for second.
Northwest will continue action tomorrow at the Chicago Penultimate Meet and the Emporia State ATG Sports Twilight Qualifier.
