Men's 400M Relay Team Advances to Saturday's Final
WALNUT, Calif. - The Nothwest Missouri State men's 400-meter relay team advanced to the finals of the 2008 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships tonight at Hilmer Lodge Stadium. Kendall Wright, John Miles, Sheldon Cook and E.J. Falkner ran 40.88 in the preliminaries, finishing fifth in their heat and eighth overall.
The four compete in the finals at 7:40 p.m. CDT May 24. The top eight relay teams in the nine team final earn All-America honors.
Miles also ran 10.73 in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash, finishing seventh in his heat and 21st overall. Audrey Bailey finished fifth in her heat in the 400-meter hurdles with 1:04.01, running the 15th fastest time in the preliminaries. The top nine in each event advance to the finals.
