O'Brien Breaks Own School Record at Keeler Invitational
Five additional athletes record provisional qualifying marks at Emporia State Twilight Qualifier

MARYVILLE - Junior Anna O'Brien broke her own school record in the 1,500-meter run and lowered her provisional qualifying time at the Dr. Keeler Invitational Friday at North Central College in Naperville, Ill. O'Brien ran 4:37.77, improving on her previous record of 4:40.94 set at the MIAA Championships the week before.
Five Bearcats reached provisional qualiying marks at the Emporia State Twilight Qualifier Saturday. Ben McKim threw 52-11 in the shot put, provisionally qualifying for the first time in his career. The men's 4x100-meter relay team of Kendall Wright, John Miles, Sheldon Cook and E.J. Falkner lowered their provisional time by winning the relay with 40.80.
The NCAA will announce the championship field Tuesday. Provisional qualifiers from Northwest who have a chance to advance:
- Audrey Bailey: 400-meter hurdles (1:00.84)
- John Bullock: 400-meter hurdles (53.17)
- Sheldon Cook: 4x100-meter relay (40.80)
- E.J. Falkner: 100-meter dash (10.60); 200-meter dash (21.45); 4x100-meter relay (40.80)
- Courtland Ingram: Decathlon (6492)
- Ben McKim: Shot put (52-11)
- John Miles: 100-meter dash (10.48); 4x100-meter relay (40.80)
- Anna O'Brien: 1,500-meter run (4:37.77); 3,000-meter run (10:14.04)
- Eric Rickert: Shot put (53-7.5)
- Katy Thomas: High jump (5-6)
- Ike Urum-Eke: Triple jump (48-0.5)
- Kendall Wright: 4x100-meter relay (40.80)
