
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Audrey Bailey picked up an NCAA provisional qualifying mark by finishing sixth in the 400-meter hurdles at the 81st Kansas Relays. She ran a season-best 1:02.83 for the ninth-fastest time in nationwide performance lists.
The men's 400-meter relay team of Kendall Wright, John Miles, Sheldon Cook, and E.J. Falkner came within four-hundredths of a second of provisionally qualifying, running 41.39 to finish second in the finals. It's the fourth-fastest performance in school history and the fastest time since the record of 41.15 was set in 1999.
Miles, Cook and Falkner teamed with Kevin Okonta to record another second-place finish in the 800-meter relay. The four Bearcats combined to run 1:27.62.
The women's distance medley of Jessica Nichols, Lindsay Biermann, Jennifer Kiss and Anna O'Brien finished seventh with 12:59.44.
Up Next: Both Northwest Missouri State teams will split squads again next weekend, with a majority of the athletes heading to the Kip Janvrin Simpson College Open April 25. Select athletes will particpate in the 99th Annual Drake Relays April 24-26.
