Bearcat Track & Field Compete at Kip Janvrin Open
INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Northwest Missouri State track and field teams competed at the Kip Janvrin Open yesterday in Indianola, Iowa. Five women and seven men finished in the top five with seniors Eric Isley and Bayo Adio winning their respective events.
Isley won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.08, the third fastest ever from a Northwest athlete. Adio jumped 47-11.00 to take the triple jump crown.
Sophomore Anna O'Brien finished third in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:42.85, while sophomores Johanna Avilez and Chelsea Dightman finished second and fourth, respectively, in the 100 meter hurdles.
It was the last regular season meet for both the mens and womens teams as the MIAA Multi-Events Championships start April 29 and the MIAA Championships run May 5 through May 6.
