Northwest Returns from Jim Duncan Invitational

DES MOINES, Iowa. - The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats competed in the Jim Duncan Invitational Saturday (14th) in Des Moines, Iowa., hosted by the Drake Bulldogs. The team had a total of 12 top-six finishers with two provisional qualifying times.

Sophomore Audrey Bailey was the top finisher for the women finishing second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.99. Baileys time was less than a second from a provisional qualifying time. The women had six other top-six finishers; junior Brandi Honeywell finished third in the long jump with a distance of 17-06.25; sophomore Emily Churchman finished fourth in the triple-jump with a distance of 36-01.25; sophomore Hannah Henry finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.51 and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.85; and freshman Lindsay Biermann finished fifth in the triple-jump with a distance of 36-00.00 and sixth in the long jump with a distance of 16-11.50.

Senior Eric Isley led the men’s side with a second place provisional finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.70. Sophomore Khai Berry followed Isley in getting a provisional third place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.57. The men had three other top-six finishers; junior John Bullock finished third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.43; senior Bayo Adio finished fourth in the high jump with a height of 6-04.75; and senior Diezeas Calbert finished sixth in the long jump with a distance of 21-08.00.
