Women's Track and Field Opens Outdoor Season

MEMPHIS -- (results)The Northwest Missouri State women's track and field team opened up the outdoor season at the Austin Peay (Tenn.) Spring Fling, which took place March 15-17. Three individuals finished second in their respective event to lead the charge: sophomore Anna O'Brien in the 5,000-meters (18:15. 86); junior Hannah Henry in the 100-meter hurdles (14.97); and sophomore Audrey Bailey in the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.30).

Northwest, who sent a limited number of athletes, competed against mostly Division I programs such as Belmont (Tenn.), Lipscomb (Tenn.) and Alabama-Birmingham.

The women are next scheduled for the Mizzou Relays on March 30-31.
