Bearcat Track and Field Competes in Mule Relays

Warrensburg, Mo. - The Northwest Missouri State men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Warrensburg, Mo., to compete in the Mule Relays. The women's team competed yesterday on Thursday the 8th, while the men competed today.

The women did not come away with any event titles this week, but they had some strong top finishers. Sophomore Hannah Henry finished in third-place in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a finishing time of 9.16. In the women's triple jump, freshman Lindsay Biermann came away with a third place finish as well with a distance of 36-08.25. Sophomore Anna O'Brien also had a strong fourth place finish in the women's 800-meter run with a final time of 2:22.07. The women's distance medley team finished in second place with a time of 12:52.93.

The men competed very strong tonight coming away with two first place medals and two other top three finishes. In the men's 800-meter run, senior Eric Isley came away with a first place finish. His finishing time was 1:54.69, just barely beating the second place runner with a time of 1:54.97. Senior Bayo Adio also came away with a first finish jumping a height of 6-07.50. The second and third place jumpers also jumped the same height as Adio, but taking fewer attempts gave Adio the first place finish. In the men's Pole Vault, Junior Clif McIntosh got second place with a height of 15-01.00. His jumped tied first place, but he had more attempts than the first place finisher. Sophomore Sheldon Cook finished in third place in the men's long jump, jumping 22-11.00.
