Bearcat Track and Field Competes in the Holiday Inn Invitational
LINCOLN, Neb. - (men's results) (women's results) The Northwest Missouri State men and women's track and field team competed in the Holiday Inn Invitational this weekend in Lincoln, Neb. The event started on Friday and finished up on Saturday. Between the men's and women's teams, they were able to get eight top three finishes, with six going to the men and two going to the women.
In the unseeded men's high jump, freshman Jacob Dupin placed second with a jump of 6-06.75, tying that of first place, but taking more jumps to reach it.
In the seeded men's high jump, senior Bayo Adio finished in second place with a jump of 6-11.00. This jump ties Adio for the Northwest school record.
In the women's triple jump, freshman Lindsay Biermann finished in second place with a jump of 35-07.25. Finishing in fourth place was sophomore Emily Churchman with a jump of 34-01.25.
Senior Eric Isley finished in third place in the men's 800 meter run with a mark of 1:56.86, finishing just barely over a second behind first place, 1:55.59.
Sohomore Anna O'Brien finished third in the women's one-mile run with a time of 5:25.38. Senior Matt Pohren finished in third place in the men's 5000-meter run with a time of 15:19.79.
In the men's pole vault, junior Courtland Ingram finished in third place with a height of 14-05.25. Junior Clif McIntosh finished in fourth place with the exact same height as Ingram.
Junior Brandon Shoen finished in third place in the men's shot put with a distance of 47-04.50.
Next week both teams will be traveling to Ames, Iowa., for the Iowa State Open on the 19-20.
