
EMPORIA, Kan. – Freshman Emily Churchman finished 11th in the women’s heptathlon at the Emporia State Multi-Events with 3,975 points, while freshman Jennifer Kiss placed 20th with 2,855 points today in Emporia, Kan.
Churchman finished in the top-ten of individual events twice, setting personal records by placing fourth in the 800-meter run and ninth in the 100-meter hurdles. Churchman improved on her overall heptathlon mark by 46 points since the Northwest Centennial Multi-Events. Kiss placed highest in the javelin throw, finishing 15th with 75’ 2”.
Both Northwest Missouri State track and field teams will participate in the Nebraska Invitational tomorrow in Lincoln, Neb. Events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
