Prange Tabbed as MIAA Athlete of the Week
Courtesy Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Northwest Missouri State senior athlete Clint Prange (Shelbyville, Mo.) earned Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week honors for his effort from Apr. 18-24. Prange placed third in the collegiate discus and fifth in the invitational shot put at the University of Kansas Relays last week.His throw of 175 feet, 11 inches in the discus is a provisional qualifying mark for nationals, while his mark of 61-1.25 in the shot surpassed the automatic qualifying standard.
Prange was the only Division II competitor in the invitational shot put, and finished behind three post-collegiate and one Division I athlete.
Northwest track & field teams will next be in action at the Emporia Twilight on Friday, Apr. 29.
