Northwest Finishes day two of the Kansas Relays

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Northwest Missouri State Track and Field finished day two at the Kansas Relays. In day one the Freshman Karah Spader placed fifth in the 3000 meter run taking a time of 11:18.73. In the 1500m run Northwest had three athletes place in the top ten; Heather Brokaw received seventh place with a time of 5:08.52, Junior Dia McKee ran a 5:19.57 to get eighth place and coming in at 11th place Kim Homan with a clock of 5:34.89.

The men on Thursday placed in the 3000m steeplechase. Placing eighth was Daniel Pescador with 11:05.25 and Laz Marquart placed ninth with 11:22.11.

Day two resulted with Dallas Flynn placing fourth in the shot put with a distance of 53'00"3/4. The women 4x100 which included Alisha Samuel, Audrey Bailey, Megan Robinson, and Kailea Cook took the eighth spot with a time of 48.46.

The 'Cats will be competing tomorrow April 23 at the Kansas Relays and the Doan College Invite.

Other placings of day two at the Kansas Relays:

100m - Alisha Samuel, 21st, 12.24; Kailea Cook, 25th, 12.43

400m Hurdles - Hannah Henry, 25th, 1:01.09; John Bullock, 20th, 56.17

400m - Megan Robinson, 25th, 1:01.09

4x400 - 4th place: Audrey Bailey, Brandi Honeywell, Megan Robinson, Steph Suntken

5000m - Ashley Grosse, 17th, 19:20.75; Matt Pohren, 22nd, 15:45.37
