Three Individuals Compete at Finals in Day 1 of National Championships
BOSTON, Mass. -- Northwest Missouri State University Track & Field had three individuals compete in the finals of Day 1 of the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships. Senior Mary Wirt wrapped up her Northwest career with a ninth-place finish in the weight throw as she tossed 54'2 3'4". She just missed the cut of All-America status as the top-eight are honored as such. On the men's side, senior Clint Prange was third in the shot put while sophomore Dallas Flynn was ninth. Prange, who holds the school mark set earlier this season, earned a mark of 61'11". Flynn finished his event with a hurl of 53' 7' 3/4".
Tomorrow, junior Alisha Samuel will look to perform in the 60M finals at 2 p.m. CST. Also, junior Diezeas Calbert is scheduled to go in the triple jump men's finals tomorrow and sophomore E.J. Falkner is set in two events - the 60M and 200M.
