Day two of MIAA Championships and two Bearcats Take First Place
WARRENSBURG, Mo. - After Day one of the MIAA Indoor Championships and Senior Clint Prange and Diezeas Calbert taking the first place slots in the shot put and the men's triple jump. Prange was untouchable in the shot put with a throw of 59'05"1/2, four inches further than the second place competitor. Diezeas placing first in the triple jump with a mark of 48'08"3/4.
E.J. Falkner took home first place with a time of 21.56 and second place in the 60m dash ending with a time of 6.87. Alisha Samuel captured first place in the 60m dash and third place in the 200m dash. Samuel's time in the 60 m dash was 7.67 and in the 200m 25.45.
The men and women's 800m run placed with high standards taking the fourth and fifth place spots. Freshman Jeff Kangar along with his first appearance at the MIAA Indoor Championships placed fifth with 1:59.08. Senior Steph Suntken with 2:21.40 took fourth place.
The men's outdoor season will begin Mar. 18-19 at the UTSA Relays in San Antonio, Tex. The women's track and field team will begin Mar. 19 at the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La.
