Falkner, Samuel Earned MIAA Weekly Honors

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Falkner, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound sophomore from Omaha, Neb., provisionally qualified in two events, winning one of them, at the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Invitational Friday (Feb. 11).He won the 400 meters with a time of 48.83 seconds -- his first victory of the season, and placed third in the 200 meters with a clocking of 21.98.
Falkner is a graduate of Millard South High School.
Samuel, a 5-foot-7 junior from San Juan, Trinidad & Tobago, earned provisional qualification in both the 60 meters and 200 meters during the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Invitational last Friday (Feb. 11).
She improved her provisional mark in the 60 with a winning time of 7.65 seconds. She added the 200 to her list of provisional marks with a second-place clocking of 25.57.
The win in the 60 was her third in that event this season.
Samuel is a graduate of St. Augustine's Senior Secondary Comprehensive School.
