Cheerleaders, Steppers head to nationals
The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat Steppers and Cheerleaders both embarked on a familiar journey that began early Thursday morning. Both squads are competing at the Universal Cheerleading Association and Universal Dance Association Collegiate National Championships this weekend at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The Bearcat Steppers are one of the most spirited and involved organizations on campus. The team currently consists of 18 talented women who are an integral part of Bearcat school spirit.

Dance team finishes fifth
Northwest Missouri State's cheerleading program placed third and the Bearcats' dance team finished fifth at the 2011 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships held at Walt Disney World Resort Saturday and Sunday.
