Games on for Northwest softball
MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State softball team was originally scheduled to play Lincoln at home this weekend but with snow covering the field the Bearcats will head to Nebraska Friday to play Doane College.
After searching for a couple days Northwest was able to find a field that was not covered by the winter storms that have blown through the Midwest in the last couple weeks. Head Coach Ryan Anderson’s team will play a double-header against NAIA Doane College in Beatrice, Neb. starting at 2 p.m. Friday.
The Bearcats were unable to play last week as the Missouri Southern Tournament was canceled due to the weather as well. Northwest has not seen action since Feb. 23 at the NSIC/MIAA Crossover in Rochester, Minn. and sits at 8-4 on the season.
It is unknown if there will be live stats but you can follow Bearcat action on Twitter.
