Creger named to academic all-district team

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State sophomore pitcher Jenna Creger (Winterset, Iowa) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 Softball Team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A third-team selection, Creger set a Bearcat record by striking out 150 batters this season. She was 15-10 in the circle in 28 appearances and had a 2.11 earned run average. Creger led her team in wins, starts (22), complete games (19), shutouts (6) and innings pitched (159 1/3).
In the classroom, Creger carries a 3.92 grade point average as she works towards a degree in pre-professional zoology.
To be considered for the team, nominees must be at least a sophomore, carry a grade point average of at least 3.30, be enrolled at her current institution for at least one year and be a starter or an important reserve. The all-district team includes players from NCAA Divisions II and III, NAIA and junior colleges.
