Softball Makeup Dates Announced

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State's softball team will resume its game two contest against Missouri Western at 5 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph and play two games against Truman at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Kirksville, Mo.

The Bearcats (23-21, 7-10 MIAA) need to win one of those three games to qualify for the MIAA tournament, which starts Thursday in Kansas City. Northwest would be seeded third if the team can win all three games, sixth if the team wins two games and will be the eighth seed if the team wins one game.

Northwest won the first game of a scheduled doubleheader against Missouri Western back on April 24, 1-0, but trailed 2-1 heading into the top of the fifth inning of game two when play was suspended due to rain. A solo home run by Hailee Hendricks accounted for Northwest's run.
