Krueger Breaks Career Strikeout Record

ST. JOSEPH, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State senior pitcher Cola Krueger had two strikeouts Sunday to become the program's all-time leader with 322. Krueger entered play tied with Kelly Morris '08 with 320.
Krueger has pitched 521 innings in her four-year career. She's appeared in a program record 117 games and her 44 wins are the second-most in Bearcat history.
Northwest (9-21) dropped both games on the final day of Missouri Western's tournament. Megan Simpson and Amber Corkins homered in a 6-2 loss to Quincy in the opener. Simpson and Jenna Smith had the only Northwest hits in a 3-0 loss to Wayne State in the nightcap.
Simpson's round tripper was the 25th of her collegiate career. She's two behind Lindsay Stephenson who's second on Northwest's all-time list.
The Bearcats went 1-3 at the two-day tournament. Erin Leslie paced the offense with four hits, including a double and a triple. She also scored two runs.
