Northwest Softball Tournament Altered

MARYVILLE - Due to wet field conditions, the Northwest Missouri State Softball Tournament has been altered for both Saturday and Sunday (April 14-15). Instead of an 11-team event, seven teams will now participate. Northwest plays twice on Saturday (2 p.m. / 4 p.m.) and then three times on Sunday (11 a.m. / 1 p.m. / 3 p.m.), all being at Bearcat Field.

Northwest, who grabbed the No. 5 seed in the North Central Region's first poll (April 11), is currently 15-7 on the season and 4-2 in the league standings. The Bearcats have not played since sweeping a doubleheader at Truman State on April 4 and have played just two games since March 27.
