Softball Tournament at CMSU Cancelled
MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Central Missouri State Softball Tournament has been cancelled for Friday and Saturday (April 28-29) due to wet weather. The Northwest Missouri State softball team was scheduled to play four games at the event. The games will not be made-up.Northwest will participate in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Tournament next with the first day of action on Friday, May 5. Currently, the Bearcats hold the third seed but the final league seedings will not be announced until all school's have played their conference games. The final scheduled MIAA games are Tuesday, May 2 between No. 2 seed Washburn and No. 4 seed Missouri Western.
The Bearcats, winners of six straight, own a 35-11 overall record. They have set the school record for wins in a single season. Overall, Northwest has tied or broken a combined 15 individual and team records in 2006.
