At Raytown High School, Gustin was a four-time all-conference honoree. She was a first-team all-conference selection as a junior and a unanimous first-teamer as a senior. Gustin also earned first-team all-district and second-team all-area honors last season. She was named Raytown's Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Gustin batted .434 and put together a .979 fielding percentage last season.

Gustin has helped lead her summer team to a national tournament berth. The KC White Sox recently won the ASA regional tournament and will be taking part in the ASA National Championship Tournament Aug. 1-8. She is currently batting .319 and has turned in a fielding percentage of .959 so far this summer.
