Two key MIAA matchups for the Bearcats

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State women’s soccer team will meet up with Southwest Baptist Friday and Central Missouri Sunday on Bearcat Pitch.

Northwest comes into this weekend 7-4-3, 5-2-2 and currently fourth place in the MIAA standings.

The Bearcats need to hold on to a top four spot in the conference so they can host the first round of the MIAA tournament Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Northwest currently ranks fourth in the conference in shots (231) and goals (29).

The Bearcat defense has put up four shutouts this season as Kelsey Adams ranks second in the MIAA in saves (83).

Friday 3 p.m. the Bearcats face off against Southwest Baptist (6-6-2, 3-3-2) who is currently ranked eighth in the conference.

Northwest goes up against the third ranked team in the MIAA in Central Missouri (10-1-3, 6-0-2) Sunday 1 p.m. Central Missouri comes into the match undefeated in MIAA play.

Both games will be held on Bearcat Pitch.
