Bearcat Soccer Hosts No. 15 Central Missouri
2011 MIAA Women's Soccer l Follow the Bearcats LIVE
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State University soccer team continues MIAA play this Thursday night when the host No. 15 Central Missouri.
Northwest (3-1-2, 1-0 MIAA) matches up with the fifteenth ranked Central Missouri Jennies (5-1-0, 0-0 MIAA) Thursday night at 4 p.m. at Bearcat Pitch. The Bearcats are coming off of their first MIAA win of the season beating Southwest Baptist 2-0 while the Jennies are coming off of a 2-0 win over Truman State.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Adams is coming off of a phenomenal week having recorded shutouts in both of Northwest Missouri State University's MIAA games last week. Adams recorded nine saves in Northwest's 0-0 draw against Truman State University and then recorded a season high ten saves in the Bearcats' 2-0 win over Southwest Baptist University on Saturday.
Victoria Von Mende and Tammie Eiberger continued their scoring ways as well last week with each contributing a goal in the Bearcats' 2-0 win over Southwest Baptist. Eiberger scored her seventh goal of the season and Von Mende recorded her fifth.
Overall Northwest is 3-15-4 when facing the Jennies and have not beaten the Jennies since the 2008 season.
