Central Missouri stays unbeaten
WARRENSBURG, Mo.-Second-ranked Central Missouri scored two goals in each half and beat Northwest Missouri State 4-0 Saturday on Jennies Field. The Jennies remain undefeated at 12-0 and are now 10-0 in MIAA play.
Central Missouri reached four goals in a game for the fourth time this season and recorded its seventh shutout. The Jennies have now scored in 22 consecutive games, one shy of the league record.
Sophomore Kayla Shain scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the first half and juniorCara Hennahane scored twice in the second. Freshman goal keeper Brooke Cooley made just one save in 54 minutes to earn the win. Linnsie McMahan took over from there but didn't face a shot. The Jennies out-shot Northwest 15-3.
