MARYVILLE, Mo.-Central Missouri junior midfielder Alyssa Rhodes scored a goal in each half to lead the 16th-ranked Jennies to a 3-0 win against Northwest Missouri State Thursday at Bearcat Pitch. Rhodes has scored all three of her goals this season in the Jennies' last two contests.
Rhodes scored on a shot from the top of the box in the 27th minute and sent a perfectly-placed header into the left side of the net six minutes into the second half to make it 2-0. Lexie Bristow scored the final goal in the 73rd minute, unassisted, from the left side of the box.
Central Missouri (4-0, 2-0 MIAA) maintained possession for much of the contest, out-shot the Bearcats 23-3 and didn't allow a shot on goal. The Jennies had averaged a 21-5 shot advantage through their first three wins of the season.
Next Up: Northwest (0-3-2, 0-2-1 MIAA) travels to Emporia, Kan., Sunday for a 1 p.m. matchup with the Emporia State Lady Hornets.
