Lazenby Makes Season-High 13 Saves in 1-0 Loss to Washburn
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Ashley Taylor scored in the 55th minute, the only goal for either team among 38 combined shots, as Washburn won a 1-0 match against Northwest Missouri State in Homecoming.
Taylor scored her fourth goal of the season off an assist from Jordan Shefte and put the goal into the right corner off a shot from the top of the box.
Andrea Tritz and Krista Pollman each made three shots to lead Northwest as seven starters recorded a shot. Northwest held an 11-7 shot advantage at the half and shot eight times on goal in the first 45 minutes.
Kira Lazenby made 13 saves, including five within a 10-minute span near the end of the contest.
Up Next: Northwest remains at home against Emporia State Oct. 23. Play begins at 4 p.m.
