Sanders Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State sophomore forward Kelsey Sanders was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week after her game-winning goal against No. 4 Nebraska-Omaha Oct. 4. It's her first career MIAA weekly honor and she's the first Bearcat soccer player to earn such honors this season.
Sanders scored unassisted in the 69th minute against the Mavericks with a drive down the sideline. It was her first career game-winning and first career unassisted goal.
Sanders and the rest of the Bearcats will make a swing through the state of Kansas this week, traveling to Washburn Oct. 9 and Emporia State Oct. 11.
