Bearcats Host Griffons Today at Bearcat Pitch

MARYVILLE, Mo.-Northwest Missouri State looks to stay unbeaten at home as the Bearcats hosts Missouri Western today at 4 p.m. Northwest is 3-0 at Bearcat Pitch, where its outscored opponents 6-1.
The Bearcats (6-2, 2-2 MIAA) are 6-0-1 all-time against the Griffons and scored a 3-1 in St. Joseph back on Sept. 13. Holly Ramaeker scored all three Northwest goals in the second half to become the fourth player in program history with a hat trick. Her first two goals came off penalty kicks. Her third came off a Krista Pollman pass in the 80th minute.
Missouri Western (1-6-1, 0-4 MIAA) has been shutout in two games since its dual with Northwest and has lost four in a row overall. The Griffons haven't won since their season opener in late August. They've since been outscored 14-2.
Ramaeker and teammate Andrea Tritz continue to lead Northwest with five goals on the year. Ramaeker ranks third in the MIAA in points per game (1.5). Tritz leads the MIAA with three game-winning goals.
Also atop the MIAA rankings is Northwest goalkeeper Kira Lazenby, who leads the league and has tied a program record with four shutouts this season. Jessica Braun, Amanda Olah and Jacque Dedovesh have anchored a defense that has allowed five goals in eight games this season.
