
BOLIVAR, Mo. - Northwest Missouri State limited the MIAA's highest-scoring offense to a single goal, but couldn't score one of its own in a 1-0 loss to the purple Bearcats in Bolivar, Mo. Southwest Baptist (4-0, 1-0) remains one two undefeated teams in the MIAA.
Nicola Cousins scored the only goal of the game in the 32nd minute off the assist from Jayme Ross. Rhiane Mitchell, the MIAA's leading scorer, led all players with nine shots and four on goal.
Northwest held a 7-5 advantage for shots on goal, shooting five times on goal within the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Andrea Tritz led Northwest with four shots, one of six starters to record a shot. Kira Lazenby made four saves.
