Northwest Soccer To Sponsor Juggle-a-Thon and Soccer Fest this Weekend
MARYVILLE - The Northwest Missouri State women's soccer program will be sponsoring a set of activities this weekend. On Friday, April 13, the team will hold its second annual Juggle-A-Thon from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the field next to the International Plaza on the Northwest campus. The following day will feature the Second Annual "Northwest Soccer Fest" from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Bearcat Pitch on the Northwest campus.
The Juggle-a-Thon will feature the Northwest soccer players competing in different types of juggling and soccer activities, including personal, group and ladder juggling and tennis soccer. Awards will be presented in categories for heading, feet-only juggling and left-foot juggling. The event will raise funds for the Bearcat soccer program for travel and team-building activities.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place in Martindale Gymnasium or Lamkin Activity Center. For more information or to volunteer for the event, please contact head women's soccer coach Tracy Hoza at (660) 562-1302 or email@example.com.
For the "Northwest Soccer Fest", teams of eight players from the Northwest varsity and club teams, Maryville High School boy's team and the Delta Chi Fraternity will participate in matches of 20-minute halves in a round-robin format.
"I was excited about the turnout from the 2006 Northwest Soccer Fest and received positive feedback from the groups," Hoza said. "Overall, it is a great soccer day at Northwest."
In the event of inclement weather conditions on Saturday, the soccer fest will be pushed back to Sunday, April 15. For additional information on the soccer fest, contact Shuhei Sano at (660) 853-1333 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
