Northwest Ranked 10th in NCAA Central Region Poll
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Northwest Missouri State women's soccer is ranked for the first time school history in the NCAA Central Region poll. The Bearcats hold the 10th spot in the poll released Oct. 11. Six schools from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) are included in the regional poll.
The NCAA regional poll will be released again on Oct. 25 and Oct. 30, with the top four teams from the final poll advancing to postseason play. Teams from the eight regions assigned by the NCAA Women's Soccer Committee will move on to a 32-team single-elimination tournament. The first two rounds will take place at the region's top seed site. Quarterfinals will occur at campus locations before moving to the semifinals and championships in Pensacola, Fla. on Nov. 16-18.

The Bearcats will be at home this weekend welcoming No. 18 Washburn for a 2 p.m. match on Oct. 14. Washburn sits second in this week's regional poll.
